Memsaic Privacy Policy
Welcome to the Privacy Policy for the Memsaic website www.memsaic.com (the "Site"), operated by Memsaic LLC ("Memsaic" or "we" or "us"). This document sets forth the terms and practices which govern privacy protections and use of information you provide to us in connection with your use of the Site, including the features and services offered by us from time to time at or through the Site (collectively with the Site, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these practices, you must not access or use the Services.
Section 1 Your Privacy
1.1 We at Memsaic are committed to protecting your privacy.
We use the information we collect about you to provide you with a more personalized experience at the Site, to improve or add Services features and functionality, and to contact you for marketing purposes that may be of interest to you. Please read on for more details about our privacy policy.
Section 2 What Information Do We Collect?
2.1 Personally Identifiable Information.
In describing the information we collect, the term Personally Identifiable Information refers to information that tells us specifically who you are, such as your name, phone number, email or postal address. In many cases we need this information to provide the personalized or enhanced service that you have requested. The only way we know something about you personally is if you provide it to us in conjunction with one of our services.
2.1.1 Credit Card Information and Credit Card Security.
Payment information (credit card numbers and expiration dates) is treated confidentially and will not be shared with anyone outside of Memsaic, its affiliates and the financial institutions used to process payments. We currently use the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to safeguard your information, including your credit card number, during online transactions. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encrypts information and keeps the data private and confidential between your machine and Memsaic. This technology makes it safe to transmit your credit card number over the Internet. Look for two security icons, the "s" after "http" in the address line and the lock in the top menu bar and bottom status bar of your browser in Netscape (or in the bottom status bar only in Internet Explorer). For your protection, never put your credit card number or other sensitive information in unencrypted e-mail or store your Credit Card information. Memsaic do not store any of your credit card information at any time.
2.2 Voluntary Information.
We receive and store any information you voluntary communicate to us in connection with your use of any Services, your email correspondence with us, your posting of information or content in public areas of the Site, or which you may voluntarily communicate to us in any other fashion. You may choose not to provide certain information we request from you in connection with our Services (i.e. information which is not designated as mandatory or required). However, if you so elect, you might not be able to access or take full advantage of the features and functionality of the Services. We use the information that you voluntarily provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, customizing content which may be of interest to you, improving our Services, and communicating with you. Until you initiate a voluntary transaction in connection with the Services, we do not collect any Personally Identifiable Information about you (such as your e-mail address). Once you do initiate a voluntary transaction, we will ask you for certain information depending upon the nature of the transaction in question.
* When you register as a user of the Site, we ask you to provide Personally Identifiable Information to help us better serve you and to enable us to communicate with you including with respect to new and improved features and functionality that we may offer in connection with the Services from time to time. We may also receive personally identifiable information about you from our business partners.
* When you make a donation, we will provide your information to the fundraising organization about your donation.

Certain types of information relating to you or arising from your use of the Services are automatically collected whenever you interact with the Services. As do many Internet sites, we use "cookies" (see Section 2.4 below), and we also obtain certain types of information whenever your Internet browser accesses the Services. Among other things, we may collect these types of information to monitor and analyze aggregate user traffic patterns and Site usage to help us develop and improve the design, layout and functionality of the Site and the Services. Examples of the information we may collect and analyze include (i) your login name, password and email address (but only if you have first voluntarily become a registered user of the Site), (ii) the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, (iii) computer and connection information such as browser type and version, operating system, and platform, (iv) the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through, and from the Site, including date and time, (v) cookie number, and (vi) the web pages you viewed at the Site and any information or content you searched for in connection with the Services.
2.4 Cookies.
2.4.1 What Is A Cookie?.
A cookie is a small set of data that a website server may transmit to the Internet browser of a person upon their initial visit to the website, which is updated with each return visit. Cookies come in two basic types: "session cookies" and "persistent cookies". The primary distinction between the two types would be that, whereas session cookies are stored by your browser in your computer’s dynamic memory ("RAM") and destroyed when you finish that browsing session, persistent cookies are stored in a small text file saved by your browser to your computer’s hard drive, and until a specified expiration date, may be accessed and/or updated with each return visit to the corresponding website. Web sites may use cookies for an indefinite variety of different purposes, such as the storing of your personal information and browsing preferences so you don’t have to reset or retype them at future visits. Finally, web sites may use cookies to give you access to a secure method of transaction or line of communication. Please read Section 2.4.3 below for a general description of the ways we use cookies at our Site.
2.4.2 Managing Your Cookie Preferences.
Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser to disable acceptance of any cookies acceptance, or give you the option of accepting or rejecting any particular cookie. Please consult the "help" function in your browser if you want to find out how to accept, disable or selectively enable cookies. Even if your browser is configured not to accept cookies, you can still use many of the features on our site. However, we recommend that you accept cookies from the Site so that you will be able to take full advantage of the features and functions of the Services we offer.
2.4.3 Our Use of Cookies.
Our cookies do not contain any personally identifying information about you. We do not attempt to personally identify visitors. Some areas of our Site may allow you to register or choose personalization options so we can dynamically direct you to information on the web pages that may suit your interests. By using a cookie, our Site can automatically read your preferences and customize web pages without any further action on your part. All of our cookies can only be read by the Site’s web server, so other third party websites cannot read the information in them. The cookies themselves actually only store a reference to information kept on our web server, and do not themselves contain any sensitive information. Today, we only use the information that we gather from the use of cookies to (i) understand aggregate visitor usage patterns at the Site, (ii) offer personalized features and services to visitors, and (iii) identify problems experienced by visitors as they use our Site, including without limitation the following more specifically described cookie uses:
* Provide information about the specific Memsaic you are interacting with.
* Estimate and report our total visitor size and traffic at the Site.
Except as described in the foregoing, we do not currently use cookies for any other purposes. However, we reserve our rights to use cookies for additional purposes in the future. In the event we do change our policies regarding cookies in the future, we will provide you with notice thereof and a reasonable opportunity to opt out of the new policy if you so request.
2.5 Email and other Correspondence.
We may send you email or other forms of correspondence that are intended to notify you of new features or functions of the Services or of marketing or sales offers that we think may be of use or interest to you. To help us make such emails more useful and interesting to you, we may receive a confirmation when you open email sent to you from us if your computer makes available such a function. If you would rather not receive any such email correspondence or marketing information, please contact us at
